My 28 year old son and I are beyond saddened by the news of Dr. Hesquijarosa's passing. We literally just found out and are in disbelief. This man was more than a Dr. to his patients, he was a gifted, caring, intuitive, gift from God. When my son and I became his patients in 2013, he understood us and our needs right away, We were new to Union City, and he made us feel right at home. We lived on 37th street, and visiting our beloved Dr. was just a walk down the block. When Dr. Hesquijarosa stopped seeing patients on 37th street, and started seeing patients at Holy Name Medical, my son and I did not hesitate to take the drives to Teaneck, just to be seen, by this very spiritual, intuitive, good hearted doctor, who would take his notes, by talking into his little audio recorder. I always thought that was so funny, and smart. When he suddenly stopped practicing at Holy Name, we were devastated, and although I may have drove the secretary at Holy Name, crazy with concerning questions about his well-being, and sadness of not having my doctor, who I loved as a person, I never heard anything else. I, since began seeing a doctor in New York, and my son ended up stayed with Dr. Pelletier, for a little while, but had not been seen by him in a few years, until recently making an appointment with Dr, Pelletier's office on 60th St. They called before his appointment, that was today, to move his appointment to 37th street, and this is how we found out about the passing of the most beloved Dr. Hesquijarosa, because my son asked about him. I felt I wanted to share this with Dr. Hesquijarosa's loving family, as a reminder of just how loved he was by so many, and how he made such a positive impact on so many lives. My family will keep your family in our deepest prayers, and we are truly so very sorry for your lost. May God Bless You.

It is with a heavy heart that I learned of his passing today, May 24, 2023. Dr. Alexander was my friend and my doctor. I'm so disappointed that I was not aware of his passing until now. He always told me to enjoy life. And I always will remember that from him. One day, I went to see him at Sanitas, I was wearing a hat and he loved it. He said "regalame esa gorra, flaco". I just took it off and gave it to him. He was so happy because it said "I didn't do it." That made him so happy. I'm glad I was able to make him happy that day. I will definitely miss him. He was not only a great person, but a great doctor! My deepest and sincere condolences to his family and his children.

Hello, my name is Khairi Fortt. First, I’d like to send my condolences to the family. I called him Lex and what he meant to me. It started as my father had a football camp in Stamford, Ct. This guy named Alex approached my dad and started a routine conversation if you know anything about Alex, he did not have an issue befriending anyone. Anyway, he asked my dad several questions, and the one that sticks out the most would be.
Do you think Khairi would be interested in Rutgers football? As a young man with 52 college scholarships around the country, and rated the number two outside linebacker in the nation, you could sense how difficult it was for me and my dad to answer that question. However, Alex set up a camp day at Rutgers and meeting with the coaches and we enjoyed being introduced to Rutgers football and alumni.
Unfortunately, my ultimate decision was to attend Penn State University or as they call it linebacker U. But I always cherish friends who I met from Rutgers university like Mark Harrison, Abdul Smith, and others and this was all because of Alex. Additionally, Alex continued to be a friend and mentor as I was drafted in the third round by the New Orleans saints, and played four years of professional football. Here are a few photos with me as a Saint and also my siblings and I at last year Super Bowl. I will miss Alex but his legacy will live on. Thank you for all you have done Alex.

To the Hesquijarosa Family and closest friends, words cannot describe the sadness felt in learning of this great loss.
Dr. Alex wasn't just a great doctor, he was a great human being!!! I will never forget from day one that my mom and I first met him,
We loved his bedside manners, calm, patient, excellent listener, caring, joker, never rushed us out, he showed and took such great
care of my mom while she was under his care that my mom just loved him like a son right away. This is what the oath of becoming
a doctor is truly about!! Compassion and having been blessed with the gift of having a heart of a healer!! Hats off to him!! We have nothing but very good memories of Dr. Hesquijarosa. He will forever be remembered and missed. But in our hearts as our
believes and faith, this is just a short-term departure, and we know someday we will meet again in the Kingdom of Heaven!!!! To all of his loved ones, may the comfort and, peace of God Jesus, be upon you all!! Farewell Dr. Alex Hesquijarosa, our Friend forever!!!
Love, Antonia Toledo and family.
