Maria and I go way back together with both of us running a Displaced Homemakers Program and belonging to the DH Network. We had many conversations and laughs over the years together. She had a great sense of humor and was a kind and gentle soul. She worked hard all her life and was a very proud woman. I will surely miss her smiling face and the laughs we had together. Una palabra de aliento en su momento de tristeza: "El realmente se tragará la muerte para siempre y el Señor Soberano Jehová ciertamente limpiará las lágrimas de todo rostro. (Isaías 25:8). I worked with Maria for many years at Catholic Charities. She was a pleasure to know and work with. Maria was devoted to her family and clients at work and never ceased to be an example of how to conduct yourself with graciousness and caring. Maria was especially proud of her daughter and the achievements she made in life. Some lives are just too short, this world needs more selfless individuals like Maria. She will be missed by many who will have loving remembrances of a life well lived.
