Obituary of Rosa Penafiel

Rosa Peñafiel, resident of Clifton, New Jersey, died

Tuesday the 11th of July. She was 97 years old. Born on

November 19, 1919 in Catarama, Los Rios, Ecuador, she

was the youngest of seven—daughter of Rosa Maria

Santillan and Jose David Peñafiel. She migrated to the

United States in 1980. She was a devoted daughter, loving

mother, and a dedicated friend to many. She was giving,

joyful, compassionate, and valued bringing people

together in the warmth of her home. She is survived by

seven children: Enriqueta Cabezas, Francisco Cabezas,

Rosa Montenegro, Josefina Villalobos, Dolores Zuñiga,

Martha Zuñiga, and Norma Cañas. She leaves behind

over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great

great grandchildren combined.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 3:00 PM to

10:00 PM. Funeral Services will be on Saturday July 15, 2017 

 at Fairview Mausoleum 501 Bergenwood Rd, Fairview, NJ 07023.

entrusted with arrangements.

Rosa Peñafiel, residente de Clifton, Nueva Jersey, falleció

a los noventa y siete años de edad, el día 11 de julio de

2017. Nacida el 19 de noviembre de 1919 en Catarama,

Los Ríos, Ecuador, fue la menor de siete hijos de Rosa

María Santillán y José David Peñafiel. Emigró a los

Estados Unidos en el 1980. Una bella y buena madre,

abuela, hermana, hija y amiga, sera recordada por su

dedicación a su familia, su cariño, generosidad, alegría, y

compasión. Le sobreviven siete hijos: Enriqueta Cabezas,

Francisco Cabezas, Rosa Montenegro, Josefina

Villalobos, Dolores Zuñiga, Martha Zuñiga y Norma

Cañas. Ella deja en total a más de 100 nietos, bisnietos y

tataranietos.

La velación será el viernes 14 de Julio de 2017 de 3:00 PM a 10:00

PM. Los servicios funerarios seran el Sabado, Julio 15, 2017,

en Fairview Mausoleum, 501 Bergenwood Road, Fairview, NJ 07023.
