Miriam Contreras-Aguirre, known lovingly as Miriansita or Mimi, 52 years old, of Milltown, New Jersey, passed away on May 27, 2024 in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Church in Jersey City on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, New Jersey.

Miriam was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Jose and Violeta Contreras on August 21, 1971. She went to high school at Mc Nair Academic High School(Academic High School) and graduated in 1989. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from St. Peter's College. She worked as a Office Manager at Pavonia Medical Associates as well as for Dr. Wayne D. Siegel. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and crocheting.

Miriam is survived by her husband Ivan, her sons Ivan Jose, and Miguel Antonio, sister Aileen Contreras-Mojica, as well as her nieces and nephew that she adored. She is preceded in death by her parents Jose y Violeta Contreras and her sister Jessenia Contreras-Ocasio.
