My deepest condolences to the Sosa and Zurita Family. La Sr. Zumilda was a great and wonderful Mom, Abuela, Tia, and Friend. I have so many fond memories that will treasure forever. I am so grateful to have had her in my life.

Abuelita, you are so special to everyone. All my family and friends adored you. It’s not fair and seems too soon, you still had so much life left, more vibrant than someone a quarter of your age. Touched so many hearts with your beautiful presence and love. May you rest in peace and bliss. I know you are watching over us. Know that anytime we dance we celebrate you and remember every moment with you we experienced only joy. I feel so much gratitude to be a Sosa. From the moment you met me you called me your nieta, as I never grew up with any grand parents… your acceptance meant the world to me. The world needs more people like you, as you were an Angel on earth. I will miss dancing with you, laughing, your famous lentil soup, taking shots with you, and your hugs. She welcomed me into her family and home without question and always made me feel at ease in her presence. Her patience, kindness, and gentle nature were gifts that she shared generously with anyone who crossed her path. My sincerest condolences and heartfelt prayers go out to Jacinto, Margerie, Eddie and Zuni and all of their families in this very difficult time of loss. Zunilda was always so kind and thoughtful to me and always made me feel part of the family since I was 14 years old when she took me to Venezuela with the family. My heart breaks in knowing that she has left this earth and way too soon. She was always full of life, love, and great humor. ❤️

Words cannot begin to express how hard the loss of this great woman hurts. She was an amazing woman full of life and kindness. I still can’t believe she is gone. To my amazing, beautiful, inspiring grandmother... Words cannot express the impact you have had in my life. Your happiness and smile always made me feel better whenever we saw each other. From the amazing home-cooked meals to the one-on-one talks we shared, your imprint on my life cannot be measured in simplistic terms. Con mucho sentimiento mi mensaje de solidaridad con la familia por esta lamentable perdida, mi tía bella la que la pocas veces que estuvimos juntos compartimos risas y buenos momentos.
