Lew was a faithful servant of Christ at the Indian Mills United Methodist Church in Shamong, NJ near his home in Medford Lakes, NJ. He worshipped and praised God faithfully here. When he missed worshipping here it was either that he was very sick or that he was worshiping at Grove Church in North Bergen, NJ where his son in law and daughter serve as pastors. He was so proud of his daughter and son in law for being so committed to their calling to share the gospel in word and action. Lew was a humble servant who did not a lot of public attention but preferred to quietly serve behind the scenes. Each Advent and Lenten seasons Lew assisted me in distributing flyers to every home in Shamong (over 1600). He also assisted in printing and distributing yard signs and banners around our community inviting people to our special services. Each month Lew would join several of us on a trip to the Neighborhood Center in Camden to volunteer in the soup kitchen. Lew participated in our men's group and generously supported our food pantry. He was a deeply caring and compassionate man who will truly be missed at Indian Mills but by God's grace has been welcomed into glory!!.

My husband and I met Lew at Hope and Steven wedding, He was and will always be remembered as a kind man who loved every one he met, and was loved by everyone, because of his kindness, generosity

Condolences to the family. I remember uncle Lou from the early years when we lived in Wall before moving to Florida. Last saw him at the Grand Okasion in 2002.
