He was the guy who took my older sister away from me As a kid thats how I viewed him. We had a relationship of name calling endearments ex: He woul call me Brillo pad with eyes and I would call him an inside out fig newton. As the years went buy we grew close and I seen by his relationship with my sister what a good man and great husband and father he was. Although he was quie and didn't have alot of words, more of an observer he always had a joke for me or about me and my Bebes Kids. Love you Louie until we meet again ❤️.
Condolences and love to the Velez family - I always enjoyed visits to the Velez house and rides home hearing Papa Velez’s funny commentary. He will truly be missed!
The advantage to having older siblings was that my dad always had a niece/ nephew that he could consider his best friend. My dad Rafael found that in Luis, his nephew. He would take him hiking…swimming…exploring! My dad would get in trouble by his older sister (Luis’mom) for taking him out.
We went to visit Luis in hospice and boy did my dad cry… before and after. This was his nephew/ best friend…. He hugged him and said goodbye yet nothing prepared him for this day. Rest in peace cuz, we will always remember you!
