Obituary of Jamaica M Rivas

Jamaica M. Rivas of Union City, New Jersey.  Her family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at the funeral home Friday, April 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Jamaica Marlene Rivas was born January 5, 1993 in Jersey City, NJ. She was the daughter of Barbara Rivas (stepfather Cesar Arrendondo) and Decarlos Miller. Maternal grandmother: Juana B. Lora. Paternal grandparents: Randy Hairston and Linda Hairston- Walton (deceased). She was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life Marcion Ogorkowski.

Jamaica received her education in the New Jersey Public School System. She graduated from Bergen County Technical High School and studied at Bergen Community College. Jamaica was a cashier at Walmart in Secaucus, NJ. She enjoyed fashion and making sweet treats under her brand "Jamrocksugarrush'. Her
hobbies included traveling and attending Juicy Couture events with friends. Jamaica always had a loving spirit and passion for people. A few of her favorite things were "Hello Kitty" and butterflies. She lived her life free as a butterfly.

Jamaica is survived by three brothers: Aaron Minattee, Sebastian Arredondo, and Decarlos Hill; three devoted aunts: Lorena M. Polo (Pedro), Latonya Thompon (Timothy) and Cowanda Hairston; one uncle: Miguel L. Reyes; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
