Obituary of Ramesh C Kapoor

Ramesh C. Kapoor, of Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022.  He was 82 years old.

Ramesh was born in Kisumu, Kenya to Bhagatram and Satyavati Kapoor on May 22, 1939.  Ramesh’s life in Kenya was filled with the joys of living with his extended family; his occupations, including forest ranger, local government auditor, and  financial controller at M.P. Shah Hospital; his love for cricket umpiring; and playing Bridge with his friends at Nairobi Gymkhana. 

At the age of 47, he immigrated to the United States with his wife and four children, settled in Jersey City, New Jersey, and pursued his dream of getting a college degree.  In 2004, after a long career, he retired from financial services at Morgan Stanley in Brooklyn, New York.

Ramesh will best be remembered for his duty to family, deep affection for his siblings, his charitable work, his value for education, and his integrity of character.

Ramesh is survived by his devoted, loving wife, Prakash Rani Kapoor, and his children and their families: Vaneet, Vandna, Reena, Sandie, Bonnie, Ram, Bhaveeta, Shiv, Devin, Deeya, Amba, Preeya, and Jaison.

Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ  07047, followed by a prayer ceremony at Hanuman Temple, in Jersey City, New Jersey.
