Obituary of Ruben Vazquez Diaz

In Loving Memory of RUBEN VAZQUEZ DIAZ

Ruben Vazquez Diaz 85 was born on February 21, 1936 in Puerto Rico. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico and was a proud Puerto Rican native to his island. He worked hard on the docks of Puerto Rico  before settling to Hoboken New Jersey with his Loving Wife Georgina Rivera and their 7 children. They bore there last child in Hoboken. They had a total of 8 beautiful children. They were married for 60 years. Ruben was a hard working self employed construction worker. He enjoyed watching boxing matches and playing Dominoes . He was a die hard fan to the New York Yankees.He raised his children and grandchildren.Ruben was cared for by his Loving Wife Georgina Rivera and  grand daughters Maritza Lopez, Erica Vazquez , Elizabeth Rodriguez , and loving son Robert Vazquez.Ruben lost two of his children. His loving daughter Isabel Vazquez in 2004 and Loving son Pedro Vazquez in 2007. Survivors of Ruben are his son Robert Vazquez,  Son Selio Vazquez, Daughter Iris And  Husband Mark Desimone, Son Jorge and his Fiancé Dana Vazquez, Son Orlando and Wife Luz Vazquez. Daughter Lizaida Camis. He is also survived by his Grandchildren John Rivera, Maritza Lopez,Erica Vazquez,Alfredo Cosme, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Victor Lopez,Selio Vazquez Jr., Ziomayra Vazquez, Jorge Vazquez Jr., Raymond Vazquez, Luis Vazquez, Orlando Vazquez Jr., Enrique Camis, Bianca Camis, Mark Desimone Jr, Lauren Desimone and great grandchildren. Ruben will be greatly missed by his beautiful family. We will always remember his smile, his strength, his courage but most importantly his love for us all.

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at the funeral home Friday, November 5, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton, New Jersey.
