Obituary of Carmelo Hernandez-Ortiz

Carmelo Hernandez Ortiz resident of Jersey City, New Jersey, Formerly of Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Visitation will be offered on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Carmelo Hernandez, age 82, of Jersey City, passed away peacefully at his home at 11:50 am, Friday September 11, 2020. Preceded in death by wife Martha, Sons Carmelo Jr and Richie Hernandez. Survived by daughter Evelyn Hernandez and grandchildren Evan and Victoria Rodriguez. He was born September 15, 1938 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Family and friends will agree Carmelo left a legacy of a strong work ethic and family values. His empathy and his willingness to help all others will be sorely missed.
