Obituary of Francisco P Fernandez

Francisco P. Fernandez, resident of Jersey City, New Jersey.  Formerly of Havana, Cuba.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Funeral Services will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, New Jersey. 

"It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and best friend, Paco.  He was (and still is) loved by so many, and his passing came as an unexpected calling to be with God, his mother, his wife, and many more who we are sure greeted him with loving, open arms.  Those who had the honor of being a part of his life, got to know a kind, caring, compassionate, smart man with a thirst to acquire and share knowledge, who was also creative, artistic, silly, and so much more.  He loved music, and never passed up an opportunity to have a good time with his family and friends.  He never judged a person for who they were, how they looked, where they had been or where they ended up.  He opened his heart to all and treated everyone with dignity.  Paco will be sorely missed, but he would have wanted us to celebrate his life by living ours with passion, drive, love, loyalty, and receptivity.  So, for you, Paco, we will be courageous, for you, we will live in the moment and savor all the little things, but most of all, for you, we will not take for granted the gift that is today, the present.

May Paco rest in eternal peace and watch over us all, in Jesus' name we pray, Amen."
