Obituary of Aracelia Rodriguez Benitez

Aracelia Rodriguez Benitez graced this world with her presence on June 8, 1932, in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba . She shared a life of profound love and partnership with her beloved husband, the esteemed Dr. Mario Remedios de los Cuetos, a dedicated member of the Cuban Committee for Human Rights and the visionary founder of the February 24 Movement. Together, they epitomized unwavering commitment and tireless dedication to their shared causes, embarking on countless endeavors side by side.

Following their courageous journey, Aracelia and Mario found a new home in exile in New Jersey, where they faced life's challenges and triumphs hand in hand until Mario's passing on August 10, 2016.

On April 22, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family, Aracelia peacefully departed from this earthly realm at Palisade Hospital, at the age of 91, to reunite with her beloved husband in Eternal Rest, embraced by the comforting presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Aracelia leaves behind a legacy of love and strength as a devoted mother to her four cherished children: Mario, Maria (may she rest in peace), Aracelia, and Libertad. Additionally, she was blessed with eight adoring grandchildren and four beloved great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory dear in their hearts.

In the hearts of those who knew her, Aracelia will be remembered for her unwavering love, her indomitable spirit, and her profound impact on the lives of all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memory continue to inspire and uplift us all.

Her family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at the funeral home Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Roman Catholic Blessing Service will be offered at the funeral home Friday, April 26, at 9:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Flower Hill Cemetery in North Bergen, New Jersey.
