In Loving Memory of you Jose.

October 9th 1973 to March 21st 2026

​Jose Felipe Medina, a man of immense heart and unwavering loyalty, passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2026 surrounded by the family he spent his life protecting and cherishing.

​A natural athlete from his youth, Jose was a champion on the football and baseball fields. He carried that competitive spirit and joy throughout his life and enjoyed cheering passionately for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. For Jose, the game was about connection,thrill of the win & bond of the team.

His greatest joy wasn't found in a trophy; it was found in the home he built and the people he loved.

​He was the proud father of Nathen and Justin, teaching them by his own example what it meant to be a man of love and strength. He was a gentle father to his daughter, Elah. She was the center of his world. All of them were everything he ever dreamed of.

He is survived by his wife Allison, Grandmother Elizabeth Garcia,  beloved mother, Anna along with Will; brothers, Ulysses and Jason (along with his fiancée, Diana); and his sisters, Sylvia (husband Mark), Malinda (husband Johnny), and Delilah (husband Orlando).

​Beyond his immediate siblings, Jose leaves behind a beloved bounty of nieces, nephews, and his inseparable tribe of cousins who were raised as his own brothers and sisters. In their household, the lines between cousin and sibling didn't exist—they were simply one family, bound by a loyalty that Jose carried with him every day.

​A service will be held to celebrate Jose’s life & legacy will be held on March 28th 2026 from 4pm to 8pm at Rivera Funeral Home North Bergen.
