Margarita Vazquez Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margarita Vazquez, who passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the age of 82. She was a woman whose strength, warmth, and unwavering love for her family touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico, on September 1, 1943, Margarita, known by her loved ones as Taty, lived a life defined by resilience, generosity, and deep devotion to her family. She was the heart of her home - someone who found joy in life’s simplest moments, especially singing and dancing in the kitchen, creating memories her loved ones will cherish forever.
She taught those around her the true meaning of sacrifice, unconditional love, and what it means to stand strong for the people you care about. To her family, she was not only a guiding light but a true warrior - a woman of grace, courage, and endless love.
She is survived by her children, Edwardo Ramos, Gerardo Ramos, and Leslie Diaz; her grandchildren, Desten Ramos, Vicky Ramos, Desiree Ramos, Justin Ramos, Julian Cardona, Andre Cardona, Olivia Cardona, and Isabella Molinarez; and her great-grandchildren, Amaya Serrano and Bryson Serrano who will carry her memory and spirit with them always. She was preceded in death by her husband, Angel D. Diaz, and her son, Angel “Babito” Diaz Jr.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, March 18, at Jorge Rivera Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., where family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate her life.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her love and legacy will live on in the family she cherished so deeply. She will forever be remembered as our beautiful warrior queen, our “Guerrera Preciosa”.
