Orlando Crecencio Ricardo of Union City, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025. Born in Cuba, Orlando was a self-taught engineer whose skill, dedication, and integrity left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Known for his quiet strength, steady presence, and hands that could fix almost anything, Orlando inspired everyone around him with his wisdom, perseverance, and care.

He shared a devoted marriage with his late spouse and took great pride in his family. He is survived by his sons: Orlando F. Ricardo, Roberto Ricardo, and Felix Ricardo; his grandchildren: Orlando Ricardo Jr., Michael Ricardo, Roberto Ricardo, Leslie Wright, Kelly Ricardo, Cynthia Ricardo, and Felix Ricardo; and his great-grandchildren: Anthony Ricardo, Arianna Ricardo, Elliot Ricardo, Elena Ricardo, Mia Mulvaney, James Mulvaney, Kevin Mulvaney, Roseanne Ricardo, Sienna Wright, Olivia Wright, and Kayleigh Wright. Orlando also has many beloved family members living in Florida, too numerous to list individually, who were a cherished part of his life. His family was the center of his heart, and his legacy will live on through them.

A graduate of the National Radio Institute (NRI) in Washington, D.C., Orlando earned his Diploma in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in 1976, reflecting his lifelong dedication to learning and technical excellence.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Jorge Rivera Funeral Home Inc., 4543 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A prayer service will take place on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, 500 Fairview Ave, Fairview, NJ 07022.
