Fernando Castanedo, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on September 24, 2025. He was from Morón, Cuba and was a long-time resident of Union City, New Jersey where he was an adored neighbor and friend.

Fernando was the cherished husband of Ofelia Guia, and the dedicated father to Fernando and his wife Alicia, Antonia and her husband Steve, and Ernie and his wife Lillian. He was the proud grandfather ofKristin and her husband Gerard, Eric and his wife Alexandra, Elizabeth, Samantha, and Aliamne and her husband Senen, as well as the adoring great grandfather of Michael and Alexa. His family was hisgreatest joy and he treasured every moment spent having Sunday dinners together. Known for his vibrant spirit, Fernando loved dancing to Cuban music, playing dominoes, cheering on the New York Yankees, and watching his favorite James Bond movies and detective TV shows. Fernando will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the way he brought people together.

His family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at the funeral home, Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 aM to 1:00 PM. Followed by cremation at Garden State Crematory, North Bergen, New Jersey.
