Carmen Burgos was born on February 15, 1933, in Barranquitas Puerto Rico. Carmen’s parents were Luis y Concepcion Cruz. She came to the United States in 1966. Carmen was blessed to have ten children, six girls and four boys. She had 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was married to Francisco Burgos for 60 years. Carmen was a housewife most of her life. Carmen was a great cook. She was known for her delicious Boricua, Puerto Rican pasteles and her delicious fried bacalaos (codfish fritters).
In 1989, a wonderful turn of events took place for Carmen, which changed her life forever. The Lord Jesus Christ came to her life. Carmen accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.
Carmen Burgos will be missed abundantly. We know she is in a better place, where there is no suffering, no pain, and no crying. Just simply rejoicing and happiness forever. She went back home to her Creator. Hallelujah!
Visitation will be offered on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
