In Loving Memory of Yezele Reyes September 13, 1973 - January 12, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Yezele Reyes, lovingly known as Tita, cherished mother, advocate, and community leader, on January 12, 2025, at her home in New Jersey. Yezele, a beacon of love and light, is survived by her beloved daughter, Daliah, who was the center of her world. Yezele dedicated her life to creating a better world for others. As a skilled paralegal, devoted mother, and a co-founder of the House of Evangelista, she tirelessly worked to foster respect, equity, and love for marginalized communities. A fierce advocate of Black Lives and a steadfast ally of the LGBTQ+ community, Yezele passionately championed justice and stood for inclusion and equality, leaving behind an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. To her family, friends, and the extended House of Evangelista, Yezele was the life of the party—her humor and joy were unmatched and contagious. Those who had the privilege of growing up with her will remember her as a radiant force who filled every room with fun and laughter. She inspired us all. Her legacy will continue to live on through her beautiful daughter and the community she helped nurture and grow.

Yezele’s loved ones and The House of Evangelista will carry forward her unwavering spirit and the lessons she shared—of love, respect, and the importance of being unapologetically yourself. Rest in peace, Yezele. You will forever remain in our hearts.

Yezele Reyes resident of Union City, New Jersey. Formerly of Jersey City, New Jersey. Family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at the funeral home. Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Blessing will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 9:00 AM. Followed by cremation at Garden State Crematory, North Bergen, New Jersey.
